Scrip Gift Cards

Scrip Process
Scrip is a simple, no-hassle way for you to contribute to CKCS while doing your usual shopping. Instead of paying for your normal, everyday purchases with cash or credit, use a Scrip card and help CKCS!

PRT has raised over $3,700 in Scrip cards over the last two years, aiding the purchase of new curriculum for our students.

What is Scrip?
Scrip is fundraising without extra effort or expense! ‘Scrip’ is a term that means a document issued in lieu of money, where the value is recognized by the payor and the payee. Scrip gift cards are just like the gift cards you would normally purchase from a retailer and they work the same way. A wide variety of Scrip cards are available from both local and national retailers. Popular retailers include, Culver's, Kwik Trip, Starbucks, Subway, Miller’s, Copps, Amazon, Walgreens, Home Depot, and many more! Our school earns a percentage of your Scrip card purchases.

The Scrip fundraiser is most effective when families order and use their Scrip cards regularly and it doesn’t cost any extra.

There are three kinds of Scrip available for purchase:
  • Physical gift cards ordered online through or using our downloadable Scrip order form
  • ScripNow eCards – Order 24/7 and have them on your phone for use that same day or print them at home. Plus, send eGifts by email!
  • Reload cards you've already purchased. Reuse and help save the environment!
How does Scrip work?
When a Scrip order is placed, CKCS purchases the gift cards at a discounted rate. The purchaser receives a gift card worth the full face value of their purchase. CKCS receives a rebate for the difference between the face value and discounted cost of the cards. The amount of the rebate varies based on merchant, but typically ranges from 2% to 17%. For added convenience, take advantage of ScripNow eCards and eGifts.

For example:
  • Make your weekly $100 trip to Copps and pay with a Scrip card (4% rebate). CKCS earns $4!
  • Moderate your Starbuck's habit with a reloadable Scrip card. Every time you reload, CKCS earns 7%!
  • Fill your Amazon shopping cart with $80 worth of Christmas gifts. Purchase an $80 eCard (3% rebate) and use within minutes. CKCS earns $2.40! Use the AmazonSmile site (see above) and CKCS earns an extra 40 cents!
  • Fill your Amazon shopping cart with $80 worth of Christmas gifts. Purchase an $80 eCard (3% rebate) and use within minutes. CKCS earns $2.40! Use the AmazonSmile site (see the Redeemable Incentives Guide to learn more) and CKCS earns an extra 40 cents!
  • Enjoy a dinner out at Chili's and spend $40. Purchase and redeem your Scrip $40 eCard (11% rebate) via your phone at the MyScripWallet mobile site. CKCS earns $4.40!
  • Buy your niece a $20 iTunes eGift (5% rebate) for her birthday. She gets her gift securely via email and CKCS earns $1!
Remember, Scrip is issued by national and local retailers – places where you are already shopping. These merchants want to support our school, and in return as you support them by shopping with Scrip at their stores.

How to Buy Scrip from CKCS?
There are four easy ways to buy Scrip:

1. Order cards online using "PrestoPay" (an account linked to your checking account) and then pick them up in the CKCS office. For additional details visit the How to Order Scrip page.

3. Order ScripNow cards that you can print at home or use directly on your phone.

4. Use Reload and add money to gift cards you’ve already purchased from our Scrip program. Go green and reuse gift cards instead of throwing them away.

CKCS is participating in a new fundraising opportunity called Shoparoo! Shoparoo is school fundraising made easy: the free app turns pictures of your everyday shopping receipts into cash donations and sweepstakes entries for our school! Yep, it's that simple. All you have to do is shop as you normally do, snap pictures of your receipts with the app, and voila. Just shop, snap, earn!

What is Shoparoo?
Shoparoo is a free app for iOS and Android phones that allows anyone and everyone to take pictures of their shopping receipts to earn cash donations for CKCS! There is no registration required, and no set-up process - anyone can raise money for our school. Just take a few moments to snap a picture of your grocery receipt on your smartphone, and voila - you've made an instant cash donation! You can also take pictures of your non-grocery receipts (like clothing stores, electronics stores, restaurants, home improvement stores and more) for entries into Shoparoo's $1,000 and $15,000 sweepstakes. There is no limit to how much a school can raise with Shoparoo!

TerraCycle Recycling Program

Recycle empty juice pouches, granola/energy bar wrappers, and more! Bring your recyclable items to school. We send them to TerraCycle, which saves tons of items from heading to the landfill. In the process, it earns the school money! Each class has a collection box for these recycled items, drop your items off at the school office, or drop them off in the TerraCycle bin at Miller's.

Click here to print a one-page list of the CKCS Terracycle Quick Guide that we collect.

If you would like more information on specific Terracycle Brigades and what items we accept for recycling, check out the Terracycle Brigades Page.
